Abstract: Profiles Thomas A. Bruhin, a Swiss Benedictine who made significant contributions to the field of botany. After leaving the order and moving to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, as a parish priest in 1869, Bruhin continued his naturalist activities until his return to Switzerland in 1882, where he joined the Old Catholic clergy and married the following year. The article is followed by a bibliography of Bruhin's publications..
